Doctor Consultation Desk

Consultation

During your consultation, Dr. Hutchison will take the time to understand your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and any concerns you may have regarding your heart health. He will review previous test results, discuss cardiovascular risk factors, and perform a focused cardiovascular assessment to develop a comprehensive understanding of your condition.

Following the evaluation, Dr. Hutchison will explain his findings in clear, understandable terms and work with you to develop an individualized care plan.

Whether addressing symptoms, investigating a new diagnosis, or managing an existing heart condition, patients can expect compassionate care, open communication, and evidence-based recommendations designed to support their long-term cardiovascular health.

Echocardiography

An echocardiogram is a safe, non-invasive ultrasound examination that uses sound waves to create detailed images of the heart in real time. This test allows your cardiologist to assess the structure and function of the heart, including the heart chambers, valves, heart muscle, and blood flow patterns. Echocardiography can help diagnose a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including heart valve disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, congenital heart abnormalities, fluid around the heart (pericardial effusion), and other structural heart disorders.

During the procedure, our expert cardiac sonographer will place a small handheld ultrasound probe on your chest using a water-based gel. The test is painless, does not involve radiation, and typically takes 30 to 60 minutes to complete. Patients can expect to lie comfortably on an examination table while images are obtained from several different angles. Following the study, your cardiologist will carefully review the images and discuss the results and any recommended next steps in your care.
